Welcome to BYRS 2021, the 5th Biomedicum-BioClinicum Young Researchers Symposium! The aim of the symposium is to enhance collaborations between researchers within Biomedicum & BioClinicum. It provides an opportunity for young researchers to present their research, form new connections and therefore build a community. BYRS 2021 will be held in auditorium Eva & Georg Klein at Biomedicum, and broadcasted simultaneously via Zoom.

This is a hybrid event, you can attend either online or in-person in the auditorium at KI (Eva & Georg Klein, Biomedicum). Due to the ongoing pandemic, only a limit number of attendees will be allowed to enter the auditorium. We will have 10 flash talks in two sessions during the event.  Each presenter will have TWO minutes to present their work on ONE slide as a visual aid (e.g. illustrations).

If you would like to share your research, please write a 100-word abstract in the following field (submission deadline 25/10/2021). You will be contacted ahead of the meeting to inform you whether you have been chosen or not.
